About us

Capability to act when it actually matters.

DRS delivers practical, realistic safety training that strengthens the ability to prevent incidents, act in accidents and crises, and protect life — at workplaces, in public environments, in the field and on business travel. Founded in Sweden.

Our approach

A safer world through collaboration and development.

For welfare, safety and freedom.

DRS develops solutions that strengthen the capacity of people, organisations and societies to handle complex and changing situations.

Our goal is for more people to have access to the tools, knowledge and skills needed to act, contribute and help others when it matters. By strengthening the capacity of individuals and organisations to act, we create better conditions for safety, community and long-term development.

We start from the premise that safety and resilience are never created by a single person, product or organisation. Capability emerges through the interplay between people, technology, knowledge, environment, organisations and societal structures.

That's why DRS works from a systems-thinking and system-dynamics perspective. We analyse how different parts affect one another, how constraints arise, and where change can have the greatest effect. We see the individual as part of a larger system, where family, group, organisation, culture and society all shape the ability to develop and function over time.

A person can have knowledge without being able to turn it into action. An organisation can have advanced technology without being able to use it effectively. A society can have significant resources without being able to coordinate them when conditions change. Developing individual parts is therefore not enough — it takes an understanding of the whole, and of the relationships between its parts.

Our task is to build solutions that strengthen those connections.

We bring together perspectives from different professions, organisations and sectors of society. Through collaboration between the public sector, industry, academia, defence and civil society, we create the conditions for shared learning, development and greater capacity to act.

We believe complex problems require multiple perspectives. When experience, science, technology and practical knowledge meet, new possibilities emerge. Collaboration doesn't just create more effective solutions — it also builds trust, understanding and shared responsibility.

How we work

Competence, equipment, and keeping both current

Competence without equipment is insufficient. Equipment without competence is dead materiel. Knowledge that is not maintained disappears. DRS exists to bring all three together — training, equipment and a digital platform, as one cohesive offering.

Instructor network & medical competence

Our instructors are licensed ambulance nurses, several with backgrounds in air ambulance, defence and rescue services. They deliver the training nationwide.

Equipment & materiel

Protective and medical equipment that matches what participants train on, so competence and equipment align when it counts.

Training & digital platform

The programmes, instructor standard and the krigssjukvard.se platform that make training measurable and durable.

Delivered together with Extreme Medic Sweden and Brickgear Safety Solutions.

Our vision

A safer world where more people, organisations and societies can act.

Our vision is a safer world, where more people, organisations and societies have the capability to act when it's needed.

By building readiness for the unknown, we strengthen our ability to adapt, handle change and keep developing under uncertain conditions. Readiness doesn't just create safety and resilience — it also strengthens innovation, capacity to act, and long-term competitiveness.

We want to help build a world where people can take responsibility for themselves and others, where organisations can learn, adapt and develop as conditions change, and where societies can withstand strain without losing their cohesion, welfare, safety or freedom.

Readiness for the unknown creates the capability for tomorrow.

Values

How we build every programme

  1. Scenario-based

Participants train in realistic scenarios — not theory for theory's sake.

  2. Tiered

Training is combined and adapted to the organisation's risk profile and responsibility.

  3. Sustained

Capability is followed up and maintained over time — not just on the course day.

Reach

Who we reach with the training

We train where the ability to act actually matters — from industry and the public sector to schools and remote settings.

Companies and industry

Continuity, work-environment responsibility and travel-safety risk.

Public sector

Municipalities, healthcare and public environments building first-response capability into everyday services.

Schools and education

Staff with a duty of care — not only security personnel.

Rural, hunting and agriculture

Field medicine a long way from help — people and dogs.

Instructors

Who stands in front of the room

Everyone who teaches for us is a licensed ambulance nurse. Several also have experience from air ambulance, international deployments, government assignments, defence and rescue services — people who have done the job the training prepares you for. Researchers and educators work together with them, so programmes are built on how people actually learn and perform under pressure, not just on what looks realistic.

ESG

How we work

Environmental

Equipment

We select protective and medical equipment for genuine training and operational need, favouring durable, reusable materiel over disposable kit wherever the two serve the same purpose equally well.

Social

Capability access

We build training that scales across sectors — defence to schools — so life-protecting capability isn't limited to organisations that can afford the most elaborate programme.

Governance

One cohesive responsibility

Training, equipment and the digital platform are delivered as one cohesive responsibility, together with Extreme Medic Sweden and Brickgear Safety Solutions, rather than as separate parties each answering for a part.
